The following are some IDD call rates for destinations that are popular among Malaysians. Please note that there are no local call charges incurred, unlike VOIP calls.

STD calls are charged at around 15 sen per minute, broken down into 10 second blocks. Domestic mobile calls are charged at around 15 sen per minute, broken down into 20 second blocks.

When comparing these IDD call rates to what you are currently paying for VOIP calls, please remember to add the TM local call charges to your VOIP rates. The charges to be added for VOIP is 8 sen for the first 2 minutes or part thereof, and 4 sen per minute for each additional minute or part thereof. These charges are lumped together in your TM bills and can be considered to be "hidden costs" for VOIP.
